Our selections of fibre art pieces are all woven by traditional Maori
raranga methods by expert weavers throughout New Zealand.
No two pieces are the same as different artists use varying types of flax,
dyes, styles and patterns to embody their own visions.
The individual creations range in use from everyday accessories to special
occasions or as decorative art.
While New Zealand flax is stronger than other similar fibres, it is a
natural product and wears depending on its use.
To learn more about the history of flax and Raranga weaving plus its care
and use go to "About Paua and Flax".
